ICT to lead reform to increase revenue

Sam Atukwei Quaye, Municipal Chief Executive for Ga West has expressed his determination to finding ways to improve revenue of the assembly especially internally generated funds.

Preperations underway for Hogbetsotso festival

Chiefs and people of Anlo in the Keta Municipality are preparing towards the annual Hogbetsotso Festival.

Malfunctioning streetlights are being repaired while extension of electricity to the Hogbe Park (Agove School Park) is also ongoing. Clean-up of very important places are also being carried to get the area ready for the festival in early November.

The festival is in its third year since it was revived in 2011 after a long break due to the absence of Awormefia (Paramount Chief). It is an occasion that brings all citizens of anlo together as well as Ewe communities from Togo and Benin.

Hogbetsotso is a celebration in memory of the eventful escape of the Ewes from the wicked rule of Torgbi Agorkoli in Notsie.

Assembly to launch Corporate Social Education Fund

The Ga West Municipal Assembly is to launch Corporate Social Education Fund soon.

The initiative is a departure from the traditional educational fund from the municipal assembly's common fund.
