GYEEDA beneficiaries get start-up kits

Some 143 beneficiaries who successfully completed skills development training programmes in various vocational modules in the Asuogyaman District in the Eastern Region have been advised to exhibit professionalism at their work places.

District Chief Executive for Asugyaman District, Thomas Ampem Nyarko who gave the advice at a ceremony to present start-up kits to the graduants noted that by exhibiting high professional standards, they would be able to attract more customers and engage others to train to be self-reliant.

The DCE reiterated the assembly’s commitment to helping to alleviate poverty especially among the youth by supporting pro-poor programmes and policies either from government or the private sector so that the youth would have some jobs to rely on for their livelihoods.

He said the training of the 143 graduants was a collaboration between the Ghana Youth Employment Entrepreneurial Development Agency (GYEEDA), Asongtaba Cottage Industry and the Asuogyaman District Assembly.  He therefore urged the youth in the District who have not yet registered under the module to do so in order to benefit from it.
