District Chief
executive for the Amansie Central District, Emmanuel Dede Appiah noted at the
inauguration ceremony that with increasing galamsey activities posing threat to
education as a result of the youth abandoning their education for money, it has
become very important to strive to provide the needed infrastructure and
logistics to make education attractive. In light of this, the DCE was full of
appreciation for the intervention made by the bank since the gesture falls in
line with the assembly’s educational objectives.
According to him,
facilities as the library is very much needed to serve as alternative places
for students to continue their studies away from the classroom, and this will
help keep children away from social vices.
The
District Director of the Ghana Education Service, Mr Wadja called on
parents to invest more in their children especially their education since that
would be a lifetime legacy any parent can bequeath to their children. He urged
the students to take their studies seriously to give value to the investment
