Assembly Members at the Lower Manya Krobo District Assembly have endorsed the
President’s nominee for the Municipal Chief Executive, Jacob Frederick Kwame
Acolatse.
Mr. Acolatse who until his appointment was the Acting
Managing Director of the Ghanaian Times News Paper polled 30 votes out of 45
assembly members present with 14 against and one rejected vote to get the nod
to superintend over the affairs of the Municipality.
He replaces Mr. Isaac Agbo-Tetteh was recently relieved of
his post as the Municipal Chief Executive for the area.
He expressed appreciation to the President for his
nomination and subsequent approval by the assembly members and assured them to
work hand in hand with them to achieve positives results in the various
communities in the municipality.
The Deputy Regional Minister, Mavis Ama Frimpong who was
there to lend support to the President’s nominee was grateful to the assembly
members for the endorsing the nominee to ensure progress of the district.
She however, reminded them of the need to lend their support
to the new chief executive to deliver, adding that peace and unity should
always be their watch word in the administration of the district.
