The vacant municipal chief executive position created by the elevation of Mr. Francis Ganyaglo to the deputy Volta Regional Minister will soon be filled following the appointment of Madam Paulina Delali Adinyirah as MCE.
By her appointment, Madam Paulina Delali Adinyirah is a step closer to stepping into the shoes of Mr. Ganyaglo but has to surmount the most difficult hurdle of obtaining two-third majority of votes from the assembly members.
Recent appointments by the President John Mahama to MMDCE positions were met with fears rejection by assembly members and regional ministers have had course to appeal to the assembly members to desist from rejecting qualified and competent appointees in the spirit of accelerated development of their various districts as the place of MMDCEs are very important.
